Those Coveted Beach Permits Are Now Available In Some Areas

East Hampton - For those of you who will be visiting some of our beautiful beaches, those coveted beach permits are now available for some areas. To help with the process, we have compiled the list below - See you on the sand!

East Hampton Village Beaches 2010

 • Georgica Beach
 • Main Beach
 • Wiborg Beach
 • Egypt Beach
 • Two Mile Hollow Beach

Parking
You must display a valid town parking permit on your vehicle from May 15 through September 15.

Cost
Full season parking permits are free to residents of the Village and cost $300 per vehicle for non-residents.

Main Beach and Two Mile Hollow Beach are the only Village beaches where you can pay by the day for parking - $20 per day, weekdays only, not available on weekends or holidays.

How To Get It
Full-season resident and non-resident permits are available now. Non-resident permits are limited in number and are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Permits are available in person at Village Hall (open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday except holidays), at the office at Main Beach (open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or via mail to: Village of East Hampton, Village Hall, 86 Main Street, East Hampton, NY, 11937.

Both residents and non-residents must provide:

 • A copy of a valid vehicle registration
 • A copy of their drivers license
 • A telephone number
 • A self-addressed stamped envelope (via mail)
 • Residents must also provide the street address and owner of the property as listed on their tax bill as well as proof of residency
 • Non-residents must also provide a check or money order in the amount of $300 per vehicle, payable to "Village of East Hampton"

East Hampton Town Beaches 2010

 • Townline Beach, Wainscott
 • Wainscott Beach, Wainscott
 • Atlantic Beach, Amagansett
 • Napeague Beach, Amagansett
 • Ditch Plains Beach, Montauk
 • Kirk Park Beach, Montauk
 • All other Montauk Ocean Beaches
 • All East Hampton/Amagansett/Montauk Bay Beaches

Parking
You must display a valid Town parking permit on your vehicle at all times.

Cost
Full season permits are currently $325 per vehicle for non-residents. (The board is in discussion as to whether to raise rates so please call and confirm this price). There is no charge for resident permits and 2009 permits purchased by residents will be valid through 2010.

Atlantic Beach and Kirk Park Beach are the only Town beaches where you can pay by the day for parking: $10 per day, weekdays only, not available on weekends or holidays.

How To Get It
Full season resident and non-resident permits will be available by late February. There are no limits on how many permits are issued.

Permits are available in person at Town Hall (open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday except holidays) or via mail to: Town of East Hampton, Attention - Town Clerk, 159 Pantigo Road, East Hampton, NY, 11937.

Both residents and non-residents must provide:

 • A copy of a valid vehicle registration
 • A copy of their drivers license
 • A telephone number
 • A self-addressed stamped envelope (via mail)
 • Residents must also provide the street address and owner of the property as listed on their tax bill as well as proof of residency (on vehicle registration
 • Year-round renters must be registered to vote or have their local street address on their vehicle registration
 • Non-residents must also provide a check or money order in the amount of $325 per vehicle, payable to "Town of East Hampton"

Southampton Village Beaches 2010

Parking
Permits for parking are required at Village Beach facilities beginning Memorial Day.

Cost
Full season parking permits are free to residents of the Village, $200 per vehicle for Town residents, and $350 per vehicle for Summer visitors.

Daily parking is available at Coopers Beach for $30 per day on weekdays and $35 per day on weekends.

How To Get It
Full season resident permits will be available beginning the first Monday in May in person at Village Hall (open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday except holidays) or via mail to: Village of Southampton, Attention: Beach Permits, 23 Main Street, Southampton, NY, 11968.

Full season non-resident permits will be available at Coopers Beach 5/23-6/19, weekends only, and everyday beginning 6/20.

Southampton Town Beaches 2010

Parking
Permits for parking are required at Town Beach facilities beginning May 15 when an attendant is on duty and at all times July 1 through Labor Day.

Cost
Full season permits cost $30 per vehicle for of the Town and $225 per vehicle for non-residents.

Daily parking is available at the following beaches for $20 per day, 7 days a week: Pikes, Tiana, Ponquoque, Foster Memorial, Mecox and Jobs Lane. Daily parking is available at Sagg Main Beach in Sagaponack for $20 per day, weekdays only.

How To Get It
Full season resident and non-resident permits will be available May 1 through Labor Day at the Parks & Recreation Admin Building, 6 Newtown Road, Hampton Bays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., weekdays. May 1 through June 22 at designated location at Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Thursday and Friday. Beginning Memorial Day at all beaches

Both residents and non-residents must provide the following:
 • A copy of a valid vehicle registration
 • A copy of their drivers license
 • A telephone number
 • Homeowners must also provide an original, current tax bill with name to match the vehicle registration, or a current vehicle registration with a Town of Southampton address, or a valid driver's license with a Town address to match the name on the vehicle registration.
 • Year-Round renters must also provide current driver's license and vehicle registration with a local address on it or two utility bills with one dated 12 months prior to the application date and one from between September 15 and May 15.
 • Leases are not acceptable proof of residency.
 • Residents with local P.O. Boxes mush show some form of proof for a physical mailing address within the town.
 • Residents must also provide a check or money order in the amount of $30 per vehicle, payable to "Town of Southampton."
 • Non-residents must also provide a check or money order in the amount of $225 per vehicle, payable to "Town of Southampton."
