Southampton - Representative
Tim Bishop (D-1) and Southampton Town Supervisor
Anna Throne-Holst addressed over 40 people at Campaign Headquarters for

A kick-off for Fleming volunteers, the event took place at Fleming Headquarters in Southampton at 47C Jobs Lane in a room full of enthusiastic people amid red, white and blue balloons. Future Saturdays will find the Headquarters open for work sessions and staging grounds for the volunteer activities in the community that will include Rallies all over Town.
The actual nomination of Fleming as the Democratic candidate is expected this week, according to Democratic Chair, Gordon Herr, who added, "She was the unanimous choice of the Committee, and we look forward to having her represent us."
A candidate for the Town Board last November, Fleming produced a strong showing with well over 5,000 votes, she was less than two percentage points from gaining a seat. Sally Pope, who also ran for re-election to the Board in the November election, but fell short, decided to shift her support to Fleming. One of the highlights of the campaign last fall, according to Pope, was working with Fleming. "Bridget is eloquent, intelligent and a sensible problem-solver, and she brings a great sense of humor along with her dedication," said Pope.
A resident of Noyac, Fleming comes to the race with experience as an attorney, prosecutor and organizer of legal assistance for the families of World Trade Center victims. She was an assistant district attorney in Manhattan, under the legendary Robert Morgenthau, where she ran the office's Welfare Fraud Unit, which investigated and prosecuted fraud in public programs. With a law office in Sag Harbor, she offers a specialty in family and criminal law, and her experience also includes real estate, land use and zoning law, as well as professional mediation and service on the Noyac Community Advisory Council.
Fleming lives in Noyac with her husband, Robert Agoglia, a carpenter and independent contractor, and their seven-year-old son Jai.
Guest (SHNative) from Southampton says:
Fleming is a strong candidate who would do well for the people of the town. We need more balance on the SH Town Board.
