Southampton - On Saturday, July 25, Dr. Michael Avram and his wife, Maria hosted an event at their Southampton home to introduce Dr. Mary Pearl, the new dean and vice president of Stony Brook Southampton, to their friends and neighbors.

Also in attendance were local government leaders including Rep. Tim Bishop (D-1st), State Sen. Ken LaValle (R-1st) and Southampton Mayor Mark Epley, along with Mica Ertugen, Muriel Siebert, Southampton Writer's Conference and MFA Director Robert Reeves, Avram Gallery Director and Professor Marc Fasanella, Annaliese Soros, Angela Errico, Sue and Bob Dubner and many others.
