Brooklyn native Steven Schirripa, best known for his role as Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri on "The Sopranos," joined director Bob Giraldi to premiere their new short film, "A Poet Long Ago" at the 2013 Hamptons International Film Festival. The film, set in the 1970s, based on a story by Pete Hammil, tells the tale of two friends from Brooklyn who go their separate ways as they grow up but reconnect only to see how much one impacted the other.

Steven got his start as an extra in Martin Scorsese's "Casino" (1995) starring Robert DeNiro and went on to play a series of supporting roles until his big break in "The Sopranos" (2000-2007) playing opposite the likes of James Gandolfini, Lorraine Bracco, Edie Falco, and his on-screen wife Aida Turturro. Next up for Steven is Clint Eastwood directed musical biography, "Jersey Boys" (2014).
