Southampton - The Enchanted Garden is this year's theme for the Southampton Garden Club's annual flower show, which will be held at the Southampton Cultural Center on Thursday, June 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Fables, myths and fairy tales inspire floral designs - Once Upon a Time..., The Mad Hatter's Tea Party, Snow White and Rose Red , Bambi's Picnic, Peter Pan and Tiger Lily and the Fantastic Menagerie are some of the themes providing inspiration for the three divisions in the show: flower arrangement, horticulture and jewelry.

In addition there will be a special class for children on My Favorite Story Book Character.

The Co-Chairs message in their invitation is "We hope this year's flower show theme will put you in touch with your inner child and entice you to re-explore the joy of fantasy and imagination." The Poison Garden, a conservation/education exhibit will display some of the toxic plants commonly found in Eastern Long Island gardens to create awareness of their risks to humans and animals.

In conjunction with the show there will be a Boutique featuring 10 exclusive vendors who will showcase chic and one of a kind jewelry, purses, fashion accessories, linens and antiques at the Cultural Center as well as a self-guided Garden Tour of six spectacular Southampton estate gardens. Refreshments will be served at several of the gardens.

Tickets and maps for the Garden Tour may be purchased at the Southampton Cultural Center on June 25. Admission to the Flower Show and Boutique is free, the Garden Tour is $35 for adults and free for children.
