Lecture: Astronomy Of The Milky Way

Friday, September 15, 2017

7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

The Milky Way is our home galaxy, yet there is much we don't know about its origin, structure and content. Indeed, the latest research has caused some well-known ideas to be discarded completely. In this lively, well-illustrated lecture, Dr. Mike Inglis (author, researcher, astronomy prof. at SCCC) will present an overview of our galaxy & what its future holds.

The lecture will be followed by a guided tour via telescope of the night sky, weather permitting.

Seating limited; call (631) 537-9735.
