Theodore Roosevelt’s Sagamore Hill

Thursday, October 12, 2017

11:00 am

Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay was Theodore Roosevelt’s favorite place on earth. Bill Bleyer, author of “Sagamore Hill,” writes that no house better reflects the personality and interests of its owner. There Roosevelt reveled in the pleasures of family life with his wife and rambunctious children and there, during his presidency he hosted political and cultural luminaries. Historian Bill Bleyer will share the fruits of his research for the book which includes many previously unpublished photographs. Co-sponsored by the Southampton Historical Museum and Rogers Memorial Library.
