Things always seem to be bigger and more fabulous in NYC, especially when the Divine Miss M, as in Bette Midler of course, the winner of numerous Grammy awards, a Special Tony Award, and the recipient of two Oscar nominations, held her annual Hulaween Gala at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The evening benefited the New York Restoration Project (NYRP) and was hosted by comedian Kathy Griffin.

Everyone took the hint and came fashionably bedecked. We spotted Michael Kors, Gloria Gaynor, John McEnroe, Donna Karan, Suze Orman, Christine Ebersole, Jimmy Buffett, Pink, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Miss USA Christle Stewart, and Miss Teen USA Stevi Perry, plus an array of Celebrity chefs including Sandra Lee, Fergus Henderson, Jonathan Waxman, and Andrew Zimmerman who were among the stars who attended the costume gala, which honored famed chef Alice Waters with the Leadership Award. The special musical guest this year was Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine - with an added treat - Gloria shared the stage with her talented 13-year-old daughter Emily who played the guitar with a solo performance.

The evening's fun was to benefit the NYRP, a non-profit organization dedicated to reclaiming and restoring New York City's parks, community gardens and open space. In partnership with the City of New York, NYRP is also leading MillionTreesNYC - an initiative to plant one million new trees throughout New York City's five boroughs by 2017.

Supermodel Heidi Klum, the night's most fearsomely gorgeous host, brought her Ninth Annual Halloween party back to the Big Apple. The East Coast's most anticipated Halloween event, presented by Absolut 100, included costumed celebrities and fright-inducing décor.

This year's soiree was held at 1 OAK, the nightlife brainchild of Hampton party regulars and noted Club Kings - Jeffrey Jah, Richie Akiva, Scott Sartiano, and Ronnie Madra. Lower Chelsea's sexiest hot-spot offers a one-of-a-kind lounge experience. The open-air lounge, oak lined ceiling and ostrich leather upholstery, all lend to the mysterious vibe of the exclusive lounge.

Dressed to kill (or at least to spook) guests included Seal, Jessica Alba and Cash Warren, Pink (who hit at least four parties that night!), Jesse Williams, Christian Siriano, Austin Scarlett, Caroline Winberg, Anja Rubik, Olympian Sarah Hughes, Marc Bouwer, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, and Peter Concotti. Abosolut 100 was on hand to help celebrate with signature cocktails created exclusively for the bash.
