Celebrities, Models, Socialites, Art, Jazz, and Polo
You can't be four places at once right - well we were this weekend. There are just toomany events to choose from? Like art? Go to a gallery opening and have a lovely dinner afterwards. Like music? Every party has a DJ spinning. Like cocktails? So do we! And best of all its all in the name of charity right?

The Sag Harbor Whaling Museum celebrated their new "History Of Surfing" Exhibit with a festive Gala Luau Friday Evening in Sag Harbor.
Kathy Kohner (The Real Gidget),
Craig Stecyk and
Cliff Robertson were on hand to meet fans and sign books. Hawaiian Shirts and Leis were plentiful as guests enjoyed the warm weather on the lawn of the museum. Blended drinks and a raw bar were a big hit as they waited for the pig roast and other food to be served. The museum was open for an air conditioned reprieve, and a chance to see the surfing exhibit as well as the displays on local whaling history.
Over 40 Exhibitors were at Hampton Hall in Southampton for the VIP party opening of the scopeHamptons contemporary art fair. Running through the weekend, the fair showcased artwork neatly cubby-holed into little cubicles for each artist or gallery.

Robert Cuicio sipped cocktails and enjoyed the art despite the distraction of the random war cry like yells from a wandering performance artist. Hpnotiq was a big hit of the evening with their glowing blue mini-martinis, though the telltale blue glow-sticks were sure sign of just how many each guest had had as they collected them in shirtfront pockets. Weighty gift bags sponsored by W magazine included a bottle of Hpnotiq for guests to enjoy at home, Chrome Cologne, and even a tin of Altoids sours for the post-party sugar pick-me-up for the drive home.

WLIU held their Jazz Legends Summer Benefit to honor some of Jazz Music's Leading Artists to benefit the 88.3 Public Radio station Friday evening. Stylist
Nicholas French,
Richard Zirinsky, and
George McNeely - as the guest Auctioneer from Christies got the guests competitively bidding on watches and vacation packages. The weather cooled down enough to make the outdoor tent enjoyable. Later in the evening, music got the guests up on their feet to dance off the food by some of the Hamptons leading caterers as others enjoyed dessert and collected their winnings from the live auction. Gift bags as the guests departed included shirts, ties, and a few personal care items including a ZIRH set for the gentlemen and a tanning lotion for the ladies.
Polo anyone? A summer staple in the Hamptons, polo returns Saturday afternoons for six short weeks. Mercedes, hosted opening Day of the Mercedes Benz Polo Challenge at Two Trees Farm in Bridgehampton of course, and the first ball was thrown out by

The East End Hospice held their Golf and Tennis outing Saturday afternoon to raise funds for the hospice dedicated to caring for the terminally ill and their families on the East End. The tennis outing is in it's 12th year, finding a new home at Sportime of the Hamptons in Quogue. The golf outing took place at the Rock Hill Golf and Country Club, where everyone met up for the awards dinner and auctions. The putting greens were adamantly marked with several "no heels" sign as guests detoured around them to enjoy drinks and hors 'd oeuvres on the outdoor patio and look at the items up for bid in the silent auctions under the tent on the grass. Inside, guests enjoyed a slightly more formal, albeit crowded, atmosphere for a sit down dinner and awards ceremony for the day's winners and live auction.
