Star Spangled Parties
By Kristin Parker
Are you ready for July 4th in the Hamptons? It is time to prepare for the biggest holiday and busiest month on the East End. The scene has already started warming up with an exclusive Summer Solstice Celebration at B. Smith's, the launch party for Hampton Angles, Inc at Sen Lounge and hot nights and great food at Trata. Kelsey and Camille Grammer stopped by Madame Tong's Saturday night before the Southampton popular spot got ready for a fashion show. It's time for our Bad Boy of Entertainment's Fourth of July Bash. Diddy will be hosting the party July 3rd at the White House night club in Hampton Bays.

The
Christopher and
Dana Reeve Foundation held the third annual Summer Solstice Celebration at
B Smith's in Sag Harbor. The organization is dedicated to curing spinal cord injury through the funding of innovative research and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis. The event at B Smith's raised money to support continued research.
Alexandra and
Matthew Reeve were at the event honoring the memory of their parents as well as expressing thanks for attendee support. I interviewed Alexandra whom appeared enthusiastic about the publicity the foundation was receiving. More information about the foundation can be found at www.christopherreeve.org.
If you are coming to the Hamptons this summer and would like help planning your weekend, Hampton Angels, Inc, a new host and concierge company, will do the work for you.
Mani Malee,
Samantha Cole, and
Dan Lachcik created the company so that visitors and residents who work hard and may not have time to plan events for the family or their spouse, can rely on the Hampton Angels to do the planning while you relax. The Hampton Angels will be hosting wine tasting at Watermill Wine and Liquor this Saturday June 30th between 4 and 7pm. They will also be holding a Launch Party at the Star Room July 7th where
Fabolous will be performing for his album release From Nothin' to Somethin'. Check it out!
If you love to spend some outdoor time in the Hamptons during the day, there are some amazing places you can go and relax before heading out for the night. The Farmer's Market on Main Street in Amagansett is a perfect place to start your day and grab some nutritious food. There is usually a line so be prepared to wait. It is only testimony to how great their food is.

If you love sightseeing, the Hamptons are full of history. Try driving out to Montauk Point where you can find one of the oldest lighthouses in the country, completed in 1796, not to mention some horse ranches along the way. Yes Montauk is far but it is a beautiful drive especially if you take Old Montauk Highway and stop by Gurney's Inn for a healthy vegetable or fruit drink. Montauk Village is full of small trendy shops that remind you that it is a fisherman's town. On the fourth of July, Montauk will be packed with people for the annual fireworks display. So get to Montauk early on the fourth.
Saturday Night, Madame Tong's was packed with people looking for Kelsey and Camille Grammer and waiting for
Lu Berry's swimwear show to begin. The food at Madame Tong's is splendid. The backyard to the restaurant serves as perfect place to mingle and wait for hors d'oeuvres to make their way to you. Once the lights started flashing I knew Kelsey was on scene with his wife Camille. They stayed long enough for photo ops before heading on to their next event. Some of the crowd cleared out and some decided to stay for dinner.
I headed over to Trata Estiatorio in Water Mill to see those crazy and fun guys behind the bar amuse the crowd. It's great entertainment not to mention tasty food and drinks. Trata specializes in Greek Sangria, getting their recipe from bartender
Emilio. They have glass barrels of it across the bar with delicious fruit soaking at the bottom awaiting its next victim. Since I had dinner at Southampton Publick House earlier, I decided to try one of Trata's exotic deserts such as the Karpouzosoupa which is chilled watermelon soup, Mavradaphne wine and mango sorbet. Interesting but amazingly delicious! For a great July 4th week, head over to the Greek restaurant.
DJ Savva will be performing live in the lounge every night from July 1st through July 8th. Party Time!

Unfortunately I couldn't stay at Trata too long. I had to head back over to Madame Tong's for the Lu Berry Fashion Show to get some great backstage footage. Most people only see the end product of the fashion show but a lot goes on in preparation for the girls to look glamorous, not to mention the hours in the gym. Lu Berry hired
Laura Anne Pelliccio of Radu Physical Culture in Southampton, who just opened a spa at the sports club, to get advice on skin care.
Ricardo Rojas fixed the ladies hair in the stall area while
Halyna Chyrva put on the model's makeup as they sat on the sink. A lot can be done in a small space! The fashion show was spectacular as the ladies showcased the swimwear and trendy bags across the stage. Fashion shows always ad a different dynamic to the night life in the Hamptons.
Start making plans for the holiday of the summer. July 4th weekend in the Hamptons will be off the charts! Turn on the AC, Life @ Nite just got a little hotter.
