Veteran’s Day Ceremony

A special Veterans Day Ceremony hosted by the Combined Veterans Committee of Riverhead (VFW, American Legion, Fleet Reserve) will take place at the WWI Monument and Eternal Flame on the grounds of the Suffolk County Historical Society. Highlights of the ceremony include the placing of a memorial wreath, and a speech by Phil Cardinale, Town of Riverhead Supervisor. At 9 a.m., prior to the ceremony, the Suffolk County Historical Society welcomes attendees inside the building to enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, juice and bagels. All are welcome to view the Society’s current exhibit “Patriots Come Forward: Suffolk County’s Role in the Civil War.”
