"Narratives: Real and Imagined" At Ross School

Continuing a tradition begun 14 years ago, carried on now under the inspired and inspiring direction of Ross School art chair and painter Jennifer Cross and visual arts teacher and artist Chris Engel, seventh graders at the Middle School once again rose to the occasion of being curators of pictures at an exhibition featuring the work of eight East End artists.

If Francisco, of William Shakespeare’s "Hamlet", were around today, he’d surely warm to the relief in Babette’s on Newtown Lane – the bas relief, that is, five tactile clay sculptures by Sag Harbor artist Dorothy Frankel, displayed on the walls of the restaurant.
