As The Days Pass And A North Haven Murder Remains Unsolved, Court Of Public Opinion Weighs Heavy
In the sleepy residential hamlet of North Haven, 100-year-old Jessie Burke was killed by one gunshot wound to the back of the head while sitting in her living room on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 31. Her killer has yet to be identified. Many in the village are now saying they have found closure in their estimation of events that have been reported surrounding the Labor Day murder. They go as far as to suggest that they are not concerned about it because they are comfortable with their assumption that the forgone conclusion is likely that the homicide will eventually be linked to a family member.
