Trustees Agree To Pay For Carter Creek Improvements
Thanks to the quick action and coordinated efforts of the Southampton Town Trustees and the residents who live on and around the shores of Carter’s Creek, a severely eroded brush jetty will be shored up, and the creek, now filled with stagnant water will be opened to increased tidal flow.

Quiogue was recently given the honored designation as a Hamlet Heritage Resource Area from the Southampton Town Board which unanimously passed a resolution granting historic status to the unincorporated hamlet just east of Westhampton Beach.

What started out of curiosity has turned into a competitive trail for Westhampton Beach’s Leah Buletti. The Hurricanes junior has established herself as Long Island’s finest race walker, and after winning the Nike Indoor national title, she is looking to take her skills overseas as part of the U.S. Junior World Cup Team.

It was while she was preparing her college applications that her essay would intertwine with her parent’s early life as Bohemians in Bali and then on to her own adventures in Vietnam.
