Water Mill - The Inaugural TSW World Member Showcase, Live in The Hamptons 2010, was held at the beautiful Water Mill estate of Joan and George Hornig on Saturday. TSW (The System Within) was founded by the multi-talented (actor, writer, producer and composer) Tariq Alexander ("The Stick Up Kids").

George Hornig, center with two of the day's performers.

George and Joan are well known philanthropists, and in addition Joan is also a jewelry designer who donates profits from the sale of her jewelry line to various charities. She has spent the past year working with Alexander, CEO of TSW, to help launch a network for those interested in building careers in the entertainment industy.

According to Joan, "This is a mentoring and network organization that brings talented individuals to the attention of other talented individuals who may be able to assist them in their careers." TSW as a film and entertainment company assists in securing casting for new and emerging talents for television, film, dance and music. In addition, TSW offers networking opportunities for those talented individuals who would rather work "behind the scenes," such as hair stylists, make-up artists, clothing designers, event coordinators, writers, electricians, and a myriad of other occupations.

Dennis "Lucky' Taylor kept the audience captivated with heartfelt lyrics.

A multi-tiered organization, TSW, according to their mission statement, "Can be characterized as a high profile and aggressive entertainment entity, driven to deliver quality multi-talented and culturally diverse motion pictures, soundtracks and financial opportunities in a time and cost efficient manner. [Our] short-term vision was to develop, market and release highly visible motion pictures and soundtracks; which [we] have successfully accomplished with the 'The System Within' motion picture and soundtrack and 'The Stick Up Kids' motion picture and soundtrack. [We] currently have more than 10 future projects in the works with companies like Ruff Ryders Entertainment."

Singer Devin Raye.

TSW is a "Members-only network that breaks the mold for those in the entertainment field by fostering a community that connects talent and opportunities for those wanting to break into the business and those already well established in it, by linking talented newcomers with seasoned entertainment professionals."

When speaking with assembled guests and performers at Saturday's event, Alexander made a passionate plea to "Never give up your dream, work hard, stay in touch with the TSW website and look for opportunities everywhere and always. I was told over and over again that it 'could not be done' and I'm telling you it can be done."

Alexander went on to reveal that members should "Network with a purpose, and if you believe - if you really want it - check yourself - go against the grain and ask yourself some tough questions, and if you still want it - then there might be somebody out there that can help you get it."

Further to the goals of TSW the organization "[Strives] to empower employees, creative clients and members with the highest level of courtesy, professionalism and respect and to give them the opportunity to prosper along with us."

Tony Walker "The Mega Rocka" reaches for the stars.

And if the gathered assembly at Saturday's fete, which also celebrated Joan Hornig's birthday, is a true representation of those TSW members who hope to "break in" to the entertainment field, then the only logical conclusion after enjoying several performances is to strongly urge directors, producers, agents and anybody and everybody associated with the industry to run, don't walk, to align your current or future projects with members of this organization - can they deliver - oh, yes they can!

Cousin Pauly, Todd B. Coles and LDot.

The musical performances, showmanship, professionalism, and sheer talent displayed throughout the day and well into the evening never, NOT ONCE, disappointed.

The performers gathered from Georgia, New York, North Carolina, Louisiana, Connecticut, Virginia, Iowa, New Jersey and New York, and included Chastain Bailey, Shaheim Beloved, G-Child, Zack Caesar, Cousin Pauly, Aluanis, J'meala, J. Park, LDot, Tikaboo, Infinite Entertainment, Sarah Whitaker, Wade Raley, Tony Walker "The Mega Rocka," Dennis "Lucky' Taylor," The Professionals, Danni Ari, and Salomes Jackson.

Among some of the entertaining performances were Infinite Entertainment, whose lead singer Premier also sported a unique cap with his hometown area code 226 from Burkina-faso in West Africa. He helped design the caps and they are available with whatever area code you want.

Singer J'meala.

Dennis "Lucky" Walker, originally from Memphis, now living in Georgia, who belted out a few sure to be hits of his own, and a cover of the legendary Sam Cooke's "I Was Born By The River," that truly had some in the audience swooning - his vocal skills and delivery are that good. When speaking with him following his performance, the explanation for that talent this charming, humble and handsome young man offered was "I guess it's in my blood."

Salomes Jackson gave a sexy, hot vocal and dance performance (complete with back-up dancers and attitude) that should keep Beyonce, Shakira, and others looking over their shoulders.

Tony Walker "The Mega Rocka," is true to his moniker, and gave a performance that had everybody moving and shaking, and displayed equals parts true showmanship as true talent.

The Professionals - a dance troupe of young adolescents and teens displayed such great footwork and choreography that many in the audience just kept urging them on, (while secretly envying the dexterity and energy of this group).

Kedakai Lipton, Joan and George Hornig, Mr. and Mrs. Rod Gilbert, and James Lipton.

Among the supporters and thoroughly entertained guests were ABC-TV local anchor Sade Baderinwa, actor and model Emanuel Sylvano, well known actor Hawthorne James ("Speed", "Malice N Wonderland" - who also directed "The Stick Up Kids"), Indy 5G music executive Todd N. Coles, The Actor's Studio James Lipton with his wife Kedakai, personal trainer Michael Jasper, Tiffany Dardin, Jon James, and Darren Pryor, among many others who turned out to show their support and appreciation for these talented performers, and their respect for the TSW organization with Alexander and Joan Hornig at the helm.

Singer Salomes Jackson (center) heats up the evening.

The range of ages and genres, and the tremendous skill and performance ability of all who took to the stage should be a wake-up call (and perhaps a warning) to the industry that there is talent out there and your job(s) are to go find it, and this clever, helpful and positive organization is indeed both a prudent and smart place to start.

Congratulations, kudos, bows, applause, and standing ovations should be extended to not only Alexander and the gracious Hornigs who opened up their home for this event, but to the performers who traveled to The Hamptons to show what they know, and know well, to those who may have thought they'd seen it all before.

Joan Hornig was right when she enthusiastically exclaimed "This is just a teaser."
