Two Riverhead Science Students Receive Awards

Sean Harkin and Katie Skinner here with RHS Principal David Zimbler.

Riverhead - Two award winning science students were recently recognized at Riverhead High School for achievement in science. Sean Harkin won the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award. This award is given to high school juniors based on academic excellence in science; rigor of courses taken in the sciences; and math scores on the ACT and PSAT/SAT math/science tests. The winners are eligible for a $30,000 scholarship (over four years) to the University of Rochester. Senior Katie Skinner won the Suffolk County Science Teachers Award for "Outstanding Science Student."
