Supermodel Petra Nemcova Hosts Hamptons Happy Hearts Fund Event

Guests joined supermodel Petra Nemcova at the private residence of David Hyrck in Southampton to show support for the Happy Hearts Fund on Saturday, July 20. Nemcova, who founded the Happy Hearts Fund after her own tragic experience in with the tsunami in Thailand. The fund provides education and safe schools for children after natural disasters. As of today, Happy Hearts Fund is active in seven countries and has built or rebuilt 72 schools and kindergartens. Since the inception of the program, HHF has benefited more than 44,000 children and 450,000 community members.

Nemcova explained the success behind the foundation saying, "Every dollar which is raised goes to rebuilding schools. I give 70 percent of my time, since the beginning, since I started the foundation but it's really about teamwork." She continued, "It's about coming together and each of us, we have different skills and talents, and when we come together we are like pieces of a puzzle. When we come together we can create a more beautiful picture of the world".
