BookHampton in East Hampton is partnering with Vendome Press in support of Chef Jose Andres’ World Central Kitchen this July. For every copy of Jennifer Ash Rudick’s Summer to Summer: Houses by the Sea sold, Vendome Press will donate $20 to World Central Kitchen, which distributes individually packaged and nutritious meals across America. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, over nine million meals have already been served to those who need support — for children and families to pick up and take home, as well as delivery to senior citizens and healthcare workers on the frontline.
The BookHampton team said they are thrilled about the partnership with Vendome Press in support of World Central Kitchen. “We anticipate a wonderful response from our customers as we did with our recent promotion with Vendome Press for Robert Stilin: Interiors through which a significant donation, made possible from a percentage of sales, was made to God’s Love We Deliver. These promotions not only support these worthy non-profits but also encourage customers to support their local independent bookstore. It’s a true win-win!”
The promotion will run through the end of July, concluding with a virtual event on Wednesday, July 29 at 4:00 p.m. featuring author Jennifer Ash Rudick, who will be in conversation with Jacqueline Terrebone, editor in chief of Galerie magazine.
Summer to Summer, with photography by Tria Giovan, offers a sun-kissed tour of twenty-five sumptuous summer houses. From the rocky coast of Maine to the sandy beaches of the Hamptons, from Nantucket to Newport, from Fire Island to Fishers Island, from Martha’s Vineyard to Provincetown — this collection of stunning homes vary in style, but all exude the relaxing atmosphere of waterside summers.
The BookHampton team said they hope to continue partnering with Vendome Press through the upcoming holiday season. “It’s such a pleasure to work with a publisher in direct collaboration to provide awareness to both deserving non-profits and worthy books and their authors. We appreciate the opportunity to share information about the important work accomplished by World Central Kitchen as well as remind customers that local independent bookstores are vital community members.”
