Meet Ina Garten, Colson Whitehead, Carl Bernstein, And More At "Fridays At Five"

The Friends of the Hampton Library in Bridgehampton has curated a seriously impressive list of authors for the 33rd season of Fridays at Five. This year features a broad range of authors and subjects, including Colson Whitehead who will be discussing his 2017 Pulitzer Prize winner, The Underground Railroad. The series kicks off on Friday, July 7 and gates open at 4:30 p.m. in the rear garden of the Hampton Library.

"Fridays at Five is the premier literary series in the Hamptons celebrating its 33rd year," said Steven Gaines of the Hampton Library. "This year's series includes Pulitzer Prize winner Colson Whitehead also Carl Bernstein, J. McInerney, and Ina Garten. Tickets are only $25 and are available at the Bridgehampton Library at the time of the event."

The series features Jay McInerney's Bright, Precious Days (July 7), Kate Siegel with Kim Friedman's Mother, Can You Hear Me?(July 14), Blanche Wiesen Cook's Eleanor Roosevelt: The War Years and After, 1939-1962 (July 21), Colson Whitehead's The Underground Railroad (July 28), Kati Marton's True Believer: Stalin's Last American Spy (August 4), Ina Garten with Rob Marshall's Cooking for Jeffrey (August 11), Marshall Watson's The Art of Elegance: Classic Interiors (August 18), and Carl Bernstein's All The President's Men (August 25).

Admission is $25 each or $175 for the eight lectures. Copies of the books will be available and signed by the authors. Beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be served by the Friends. Each event begins at 5 p.m. and lasts approximately one hour. As always, the authors will take part in a brief Q&A session after their presentations.
