Canio Cultural Café in Sag Harbor has a slew of events from August to October ready for those into art and writing. There will be a Master Art Studio Series, a fall fundraiser and an essay contest.

For art lovers, three artists will open up their studios in Sag Harbor at 4 p.m. on Thursdays throughout August and September. For all three visits, tickets are $75 while single visits are $30. James McMullan, an international artist who is best known for his Lincoln Center posters and New York Times Book Review illustrations, will be opening up his studio on August 15. Sheila Isham's paintings and watercolor illustrations have been shown at The Museum of Modern Art and will be open to guests on September 5. Whitney Hansen is best known for her wood cutting process and oil paintings at the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art and Staten Island Museum and will be opening her studio on September 19.

The café will be hosting a fundraiser at April Gornik's studio on Saturday, October 5, where she will discuss her process and works. There will be a reception with refreshments. The evening costs $125 per guest. Gornik's work has been featured at The Museum of Modern Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and tends to create works centered on relationships with nature.

Writers are invited to participate in an "Earth Conscious Essay Contest." NPR writer David Bouchier is on board to judge essays answering the question: "Describe one thing-emotion, insight, technology, resource, practice, policy, habit, attitude- that humanity is increasingly going to need in order to build a better more sustainable future." The contest costs $5 (for a reading fee) and there is a 1,500-word limit. The café asks that writer's names do not appear on the essays but on a separate contact sheet. Competitors can submit their essays via email to caniosculturalcafe@gmail.com or by mailing it to 290 Main Street, Sag Harbor, N.Y., 11963.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
