Dan Rattiner celebrates the release of his latest book "In the Hamptons Too" which tells colorful stories from the exclusive summer retreat by staging readings at several of the book's key settings.
Published by SUNY PRESS Excelsior Editions, Rattiner, author of the memoir "In The Hamptons" (2008) will take one of the book's chapters to life by gathering friends and fans at the very Long Island location in which the story is set.
He will be doing this every Saturday and some Sunday mornings at 11 a.m. beginning May 29 and continuing through September. The reality tour of summer memories will travel to 25 different locations in the Hamptons, the North Fork and Montauk where Rattiner will give a short history lesson about that spot followed by a reading from the book, set at that location.
Each event will take about 45 minutes and will include a brief question and answer session. These readings are open to the public and are free of charge.
Locations include the 60-foot tall Walking Dunes in Napeague, Long Wharf in Sag Harbor, the Sagaponack Post Office, Louse Point Road in Springs, the headwaters of Georgica Pond in Wainscott, and 22 other locations.
