Westhampton Beach - The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is proud to present Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's lively, family friendly production of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and Other Eric Carle Stories on Saturday, November 14 at 11 a.m. in the Mollie Parnis Auditorium.
The triple-bill includes the wonderful story of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar's" metamorphosis, the fanciful account of Little Cloud's travels, and The Mixed-Up Chameleon's discovery of his own unique nature. A Pre-Show Workshop in Creative Movement will also be offered to ticket-holders for $5 per child, from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Children will explore the metamorphosis of the Butterfly using music, rhythm, and the human body.

Eric Carle stories with vibrant effects, original music and innovative puppets. Closely following the books from which they are adapted, charming vignettes teach and entertain with large-scale puppets brought to life through the magic of "black light."
On October 8, nationwide, adults read Eric Carle's book, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," to a record-breaking one million children as part of the early education organization, Jumpstart's, Read for the Record® literacy campaign.
