Westhampton Beach - Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center's exciting 2009 season continues.

Throughout theses challenging times, the arts continue to serve as a reminder of humanity's enduring power - a reassurance that we will survive and thrive - just as the arts have endured over the centuries. The arts lift our spirits and give us mental and emotional pause from the stress of everyday life. There is nothing more inspiring than live performance and the Westhampton Beach PAC has the distinct honor of being able to present the very finest in the performing arts. As the most beautiful, acoustically pitch-perfect, intimate space on Long Island, The Center creates the perfect concert-going experience.

With its 11th season underway, the WHBPAC invites you to celebrate the transformative power of the arts. From folk to pop, opera to rock, Tango to punk, and comedy to cabaret, and with some oldies and show-tunes to round out the mix, this texturally rich season offers something for everyone. Now is the time to embrace the arts and reinvigorate your spirits.

It's quite amazing that 21 of the 38 performers this season have garnered prestigious Grammy Awards and nominations - over 100 awards and nods combined. Six of the performers are Rock & Roll or Vocal Group Hall of Famers. Regina Carter is the proud recipient of the coveted MacArthur Genius Award for scholars and artists and in 2005, Patti Smith was named a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture. Many of the artists have earned other esteemed awards and nominations including Tony Awards, Drama Desk Awards, Emmy Awards, Juno Awards, Lifetime Achievement Awards and so many others, too many to name!

The Center is so honored to host such talented and venerated performing artists this season. Be sure to purchase your tickets early to guarantee the most desirable seats. Check out the star-studded line-up 2009 Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center Schedule of Events.

Wow! I'm impressed! Besides the stellar line- up, I just called the Box Office for tickets and actually spoke to a live person! It's rare in this day and age for that occurence! Kudos to the PAC for consistently bringing amazing acts to the Hamptons! If you've never attended, I highly recommend seeing a live performance there.
