Bay Street’s beloved All Star Comedy, presented in partnership with comedian Joseph Vecsey (who you most likely recognize from Optimum’s UnMovers), is back on Friday, March 22 at 8 p.m.
Unfortunately Vecsey isn’t hosting this iteration, however he’s got a pretty good excuse. “Erica Spera is taking over hosting for me. She’s been there before and always kills. One of the funniest comics out,” he explained. “I always miss Bay Street when I’m gone but I’m currently working on a Netflix movie in Hawaii with Happy Madison and doing some filming in Las Vegas. Thanks for everyone’s continued support of the All Star Comedy show at Bay Street Theater.”
Spera – “the girl next door who’s tall, dark, and one of the guys” – has performed at notable venues like Gotham, The Stand, New York Comedy Club, and Caroline’s. She was named a 2017 TBS Comics to Watch during the NY Comedy Festival, and has appeared on TLC’s Cake Boss and Gotham Comedy Live! on AXSTV. She also hosts a podcast, 20 Minutes of Fire, and co-hosts Bitches Brew at Halyard’s Bar in Brooklyn.
The evening will also feature stand up from Corinne Fisher, Justin Silver, and Moody McCarthy.
Fisher has graced the stage at New York Comedy Club, The Stand, The Standing Room, Caroline’s, Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Broadway Comedy Club, Comix, Laugh Boston, The Stress Factory ad Gotham. Her debut one-woman show, Corinne Fisher: I Stalk You, was featured in Time Out New York, while her second stage show, Almost Former Reality TV Stars, was showcased at The PIT.
Silver, who hosts CBS’s Dogs in the City, is a best selling author, longtime actor, voice over artist, and comedian, and co-host of the weekly podcasts No Disrespect and Neurotica. He co-starred in USA’s The Sinner and guest starred on NBC’s Law and Order. He’s also been featured on several morning shows, including Live with Kelly and Michael, Rachel Ray, The Today Show, The Talk, and CBS This Morning.
McCarthy has performed on Conan, Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, Last Comic Standing, and Star Search.
“We have another monster line up for everyone,” Vecsey shared. “You can see that in everyone’s credits.”
Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 when purchased day the day of the event. The March show is being presented as part of Hamptons Arts Network’s THAW FEST 2019, a three day East End experience that highlights local exhibitions, film, concerts, theater, workshops, community focused programming and more.
