Upright Citizens Brigade, an improvisational and sketch comedy group, is making an appearance at Southampton Arts Center (SAC) during Hamptons Arts Network’s THAW FEST, a weekend hosted by 19 local nonprofit organizations who will present exhibitions, theater, film, music, garden tours, and more.
On Saturday, March 24, the elite touring company will bring the laughs during a spontaneous 90-minute show that is totally spur-of-the-moment and completely unscripted.
“We have been eager to expand our programming in the theater with the recent upgrades, and live comedy is something that has been on the wish list for some time now,” said Amy Kirwin, Southampton Arts Center Director of Programs. “Being able to bring one of the absolute best improv comedy troupes in the world to our stage is truly thrilling, and will be a special treat to all who attend.”
The SAC performance will be led by four comedians who will come up with their material on the spot, and skits performed will not only have never been seen before, but they will never ever be performed after this show.
