The extraordinary Queen Esther Marrow’s USA tour will launch this September in the Hamptons. The Southampton Cultural Center will welcome the legendary singer at the Levitas Center for the Arts on Friday, September 15 at 7 p.m.
“This concert will be an intimate and upbeat show and a joyful return home from a performer who has become a legend throughout Europe,” shared Kirsten C. Lonnie, Executive Director of the Southampton Cultural Center.
The international star was discovered at age 22 by Duke Ellington. Soon after the start of her career, she joined the Civil Rights movement and toured with Dr. Martin Luther King, Harry Belafonte and more. After that she went on to appear with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and BB King. Queen Esther has made appearances on Broadway, television and in films. She has performed for the Pope, several presidents and royalty, and in theaters and concert halls in Paris, London, Rome, Berlin, Vienna, Milan, Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, and many other world capitals.
Her new solo show, Here’s To Life, is sure to deliver an exciting, jazz filled evening.
Tickets to Queen Esther Marrow: Here’s To Life are $25 for general admission and $15 for students under 21 with an ID.
