Southampton Cultural Center
is kicking off November with a musical weekend, offering visitors the chance to partake in a jazz and tap focused workshop, enjoy Improvography,
or just sit back and listen to an amazing set from a local favorite.

On Friday, November 6th at 7 p.m., Nancy Atlas
, a regular on the East End music scene, who is known for her dynamic live performances and exceptional songwriting skills, will take the stage. Atlas will be joined by her band "The Nancy Atlas Project," which features Johnny Blood, Brett King, Richard Rosch and Neil Surreal. Tickets are $20.
On Saturday, November 7th, Emmy
Award winning Tap Dancer Jason Samuels Smith
and Jazz Dance Icon Sue Samuels' Jazz Roots Dance Company will host a workshop that is open to all levels. From 3 to 5 p.m., dancers will expand their jazz and tap dance style skills during the amusing class. Tap or jazz shoes or soft soled and hard soled shoes are suggested. Admission is $35.
From 6 to 7 p.m., stick around for Improvography

, a performance that showcases a repertoire of popular Jazz Roots Dance routines. The evening will also include a special feature from a new collaborative work-in-progress to D'Angelo's Sugah Daddy. General admission is $40 and entry for students under 21 with an ID is $20.
