For a passionate and whimsical dance performance that will dazzle viewers of all ages, look no further than the Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s (HBTS) annual Spring Ballet. The program will include “Les Sylphides,” a short, romantic “ballet blanc,” and “Littlest Mermaid,” an “undersea” production complete with mermaids, princesses and all of their fishy friends.
Sara Jo Strickland will direct “Les Sylphides,” which will showcase the older students, at professional levels two, three, and four. “Littlest Mermaid,” which is also choreographed by Strickland, will feature all the HBTS students as well as instructor Sara Bedell-Spataro and resident guest artists Adam and Gail Baranello of A&G Dance Company.
The Spring Ballet will feature costumes by Yuka Silvera, lighting by Sebastian Peczyynski and set design by Strickland.
Performances will be held at Guild Hall’s John Drew Theater on Friday, April 17th at 7 p.m., Saturday, April 18th at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 19th at 2 p.m. Admission is $20 for children and $25 for adults.
