Interested in making your theater debut? Hampton Theatre Company (HTC) is holding auditions for their second production of 2015, "Clybourne Park." The open call is taking place on Sunday, January 11th and Monday, January 12th, from 5 to 7 p.m., and both union and non-union actors are welcome.
Bruce Norris wrote the Pulitzer and Tony Award
-winning drama, which focuses on racism as experienced through the changing demographics of a Midwestern city. Hampton Theatre Company is looking for four men and three women, aged late 20s to late 40s to star in their upcoming adaptation, which will be directed by Sarah Hunnewell
. The roles are for three Caucasian men, two Caucasian women, one African-American man, and one African-American woman.
Auditions will take place at the Quogue Community Hall and readings will be from the script. Preparing a monologue is not necessary for the open call.
Rehearsals would begin in early February, with performances running from Thursday, March 12 through Sunday, March 29, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons.
