Singer and songwriter Suzanne Vega is bringing her poetic lyrics and contemporary folk songs to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center at 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2014. As one of the first voices to find fame in the ’90s folk-pop scene, Vega is expected to stun attendees with her stark voice and sounds from her recent release, Tales From the Realm of the Queen of Pentacles.
Originally inspired by Leonard Cohen, Lou Reed and Bob Dylan, Vega paved her way to fame and laid the foundation for the unique sounds of Lilith Fair. Among Vega’s most notable work is her hit single “Luka,” which went platinum and was nominated for three Grammys.
While in the Hamptons, Vega will perform songs from her new album as well as old favorites.
Tickets range in price from $30 to $50.
Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is located at 76 Main Street in Westhampton Beach. For more information, call 631-288-1500 or visit whbpac.org.
