The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center's (WHBPAC) Classic American Performers program will kick off with Alan Bergman of the Oscar-winning duo, Alan & Marilyn Bergman on Sunday, July 28, 2013. Although Bergman will be without his wife and writing partner, with whom he won his Oscar and was nominated for many others, the songwriter will entertain audiences with the intriguing stories behind his songs' characteristically unforgettable imagery and lyrical mastery. An inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame, and the first songwriter to ever be nominated for three of the five songs up for the Academy Award for Best Song, Alan Bergman is a legendary icon who will give guests the opportunity for a glimpse into the construction of his famous songs. Tickets for the event are $70 to 90.

Alan Bergman will be followed by a tribute to famed cabaret singer, Cole Porter, on Saturday, August 10, at 8:30 p.m. The event, entitled "It's Delightful, It's De-Lovely" - An Evening of Cole Porter, is being presented in partnership with the cabaret arts organization, the Mabel Mercer Foundation. Karen Akers, Anna Bergman, Jeff Harnar, Sally Mayes, T Oliver Reid, and Steve Ross will perform many of Porter's most well-known songs, including timeless melodies like "So in Love," "Night and Day," "I Love Paris," and "Anything Goes." Tickets for the event are $70 to 90.

The final performance of the Classic American Performers series will take place on Saturday, August 23, at 8:30 p.m. Nine-time Tony Award winning actor, choreographer, and director, Tommy Tune, will take the stage with a cabaret program, dubbed "Tapes, Tunes, and Tall Tales." The performance will showcase highlights from his illustrious career and will be an autobiographical narration of his life's journey as told through song and dance. The program will be backed by the Manhattan Rhythm Kings who specialize in American music from the 1920's-40's. Tickets for the event are $35 to 75.

All three events will take place in the Mollie Parnis Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased online at www.whbpac.org, by phone 631-288-1500 or in person at 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach.
