Quogue - The Hampton Theatre Company will hold open auditions for "Becky's New Car," Steven Dietz's quirky comedy about a woman's attempt to escape her own life, on Sunday, January 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, January 16 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Quogue Community Hall on Jessup Avenue in Quogue. "Becky's New Car" contains roles for three women and four men. Both union and non-union actors are invited to attend.

HTC is seeking actors for the roles of: BECKY FOSTER (late 40s), a hardworking, charming (and confused) wife and mother (actor needs good comic timing and an ability to interact with an audience); JOE FOSTER (late 40s-50s), Becky's husband, a big-hearted roofer; CHRIS FOSTER (26), their son, a psychology student; WALTER FLOOD (50s-60s), a wealthy businessman and widower trying to start a new life; KENNI FLOOD (23), Walter's free-spirited daughter; STEVE (50ish), Becky's neurotic, widowed co-worker; and GINGER (late 40s-50s), a once wealthy neighbor of Walter's, single and actively looking for a man.

Rehearsals for "Becky's New Car" begin in early February, with performances running from March 15 through April 1, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday afternoons, at the Quogue Community Hall. Bob Kaplan directs.

Readings will be from the script. (Sides available upon request). No monologue or appointment is necessary. For more information, please contact mediamanbob1@yahoo.com or 631-929-3042.
