East Hampton - The Conservatory of Ballet and Danse Arts is pleased to announce that in May 2011 it will be premiering two new classical ballets in its spring production Ballets for Spring. To be performed at the beautiful stage of The John Drew Theater at Guild Hall in East Hampton. The first ballet is the stunning Act II of "Swan Lake" with the haunting and romantic music by Peter Ilyatch Tchaikovsky. The second ballet premiering is the fairytale ballet "The Magic Firebird" set to the exciting music of Igor Stravinsky. This classical ballet is an enchanting tale of beautiful princesses, handsome Prince Ivan, an evil wizard, a magical firebird, and a happy ending. The cast of the ballets is comprised of Pre-Professional students from The Conservatory of Ballet and Danse Arts as well as a professional dancer from New York City.

Guest Artist Milan Misko, who will be dancing the role of Princ Ivan, is originally from Centerview, Missouri where he trained at the Kansas City Ballet School and later became an apprentice to the Kansas City Ballet Company. Since receiving his BFA from SUNY Purchase College, Milan has performed with the Take Dance Company, Kazuko Hirabayashi Dance Theater, and 360 Dance; Bucknell University commissioned him for choreography work.

Together these two ballets will make for an enchanting evening for the whole family to enjoy. These new ballets are joining the Company's growing repertoire of family friendly ballets. The current repertoire of the company includes "The Nutcracker," "Hansel and Gretel," "A Midsummer Festival," "Cinderella," and "Coppelia."
