Selden - Suffolk County Community College student, Danielle Altebrando, a resident of Miller Place, is the winner of this year's "Scene in Suffolk" contest sponsored by the Suffolk County Film Commission.

The contest required the production of a 30-second promotional film that emphasized the positive aspects of Suffolk County life. Altebrando, a Radio and Television Production major at SCCC, produced the spot in cooperation with fellow Radio and Television Production student, Justin Robinson, a resident of Port Jefferson Station. The spot was presented as a lead-in to films at the Hamptons Film Festival, in early October 2009. It will also be shown over 100 times on Hamptons TV.

Altebrando shot the Public Service Announcement (PSA) in several locations throughout Suffolk County. She says that she is thrilled that her project was selected as the Grand Prize winner of the contest, and it will inspire her to enter future competitions.
