The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill will screen the award-winning independent film, Un Tengo Más (Our Last Tango), on Friday, November 11th as part of the 13th annual OLA Film Festival of the Hamptons, curated by the Organization Latino-Americana (OLA) of Eastern Long Island. This year's theme is Pasión, Patria y Pérdida (Love, Land, and Loss).

The program will include a bi-lingual (Spanish/English) docent tour of the Museum's Artists Choose Artists exhibition with Parrish docent Grisel Baltazar that begins at 5:30 p.m. A reception with a Doa Sarita Mezcal tasting and special appetizers from the Golden Pear Café will follow from 6 to 7 p.m. The film screening will begin at 7 p.m.

"We are thrilled to partner once again with OLA, and delighted to make the film program as well as the current exhibition accessible to the Spanish-speaking community of the East End," said Corinne Erni, Parrish Art Museum Curator of Special Projects. "As a center for cultural engagement, the Parrish is committed to outreach efforts and programming that support and reflect the region's diverse cultural heritage."

Un Tengo Más is an 85-minute documentary written and directed by German Kral that tells the story of Argentina's most celebrated tango dancers of all time: María Nieves Rego and Juan Carlos Copes. Rego (82-years-old) and Copes (85-years-old) met in the 1940s when they were 14 and 17-years-old. Their dancing career together lasted nearly 50 years. In Un Tengo Más, they reveal their tumultuous life of love and hate, separation and reconciliation, as they tell their story to a group of young tango dancers and choreographers from Buenos Aires.

The docent tour, rum tasting reception, and film are free with museum admission ($10). Additional menu items are available for purchase at the Golden Pear Café.

Additionally, Vengo Volviendo (Here There) will screen at Guild Hall (158 Main Street, East Hampton, www.guildhall.org) on Saturday, November 12th at 6 p.m. The evening will begin with a reception and Doa Sarita Mezcal tasting at 5 p.m. Two short films will also be shown, starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission is $10 to see Vengo Volviendo (Here There) or $15 for the trio of Saturday night evening films.

OLA, which is based in Sagaponack, was founded in 2002. The nonprofit agency is dedicated "to promoting social, economic, cultural, and educational development within Long Island's East End Latino and Hispanic communities." This marks the eight consecutive year that the Parrish has partnered with OLA during its OLA Film Festival, which highlights global films that challenge and captivate both Spanish and English speaking crowds.

The Parrish Art Museum is located at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill. For more information, call 631-283-2118 or visit www.parrishart.org.
