On Monday, September 28th, one lucky bidder and a guest will have the opportunity to meet actress Julianne Moore and attend the New York City premiere of her new film “Freeheld.”
Proceeds from the CharityBuzz auction (which has an estimated value of $5,000) will support the Montauk Playhouse (www.montaukplayhouse.org). Moore, a frequent Hamptons visitor, served as an honorary co-chair of Montauk Playhouse’s annual Diamond in the Rough Gala in 2013. “We are so thankful for Julianne Moore’s continued support of the Foundation with her donation of a meet and greet at the September 28th premiere of Freeheld in New York City,” expressed Maureen Rutkowski, Project Director at the Montauk Playhouse. “She has an amazing talent and is a true friend to our organization.”
The film follows decorated New Jersey Detective Lt. Laurel Hester as she fights for pension benefits for her domestic partner after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. “Freeheld” stars Moore, Steve Carell, Ellen Page, Michael Shannon and Josh Charles.
Bidding ends on Tuesday, September 15th. To place a bid, visit www.charitybuzz.com.
