For the third year in a row, the Parrish Art Museum, in collaboration with the New York International Children's Film Festival, will supply a day of shorts for children of all ages to enjoy. On Saturday, August 1st, more than 35 short films will be screened, from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Museum's Lichtenstein Theater.

"The NYICFF is the best of the best for children's entertainment," Jennifer Duque, the Family and Children's Program Director said. "These inspiring shorts illuminate the creative process of animated and documentary filmmaking with enjoyable, high quality films for families. Because the filmmakers are from all over the globe, children gain an understanding of different cultures and world views, while being thoroughly entertained."

The day will be broken up into three different segments. Shorts for ages 3 to 6 will be shown from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Shorts for ages 5 to 10 will be presented from 1 to 2:15 p.m. and shorts for ages 8 to 14 will screen from 3 to 4:15 p.m. The festival filmmakers represent countries from all over the world, including France, Japan, Germany and Croatia, to name a few.

The festival will include screenings of two Oscar nominated films, Me and My Moulton by Torill Kove and A Single Life by Marieke Blaauw, and Job Roggeveen. Me and My Moulton is about a young girl who longs for her family to be like other Norwegian families in the 1960s and it runs for about 14 minutes. A Single Life is only two minutes long and follows a young girl who plays a mysterious vinyl single and is able to suddenly travel through her life.

The Film Festival is free for Museum members and $10 for non-members.

Parrish Art Museum is located at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill. For more information, call 631-283-2118 or visit parrishart.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didn’t change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
