On Sunday, April 19th, Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival (HT2FF) is paying tribute to a documentary pioneer, Albert Maysles, with a special advanced screening of "Iris."

Maysles, who directed the documentary, passed away on March 5, 2015 in NYC, at the age of 88. "Iris" was his final film. The documentary tells the story of lively style maven Iris Apfel, now 93, and follows her inspired life in both fashion and interior design.

Known for her bold style, the fashion icon interestingly enough doesn't put too much thought into her choices. "I don't even like to think about what I'm wearing," Apfel told InStyle. "It's just that if it feels good in the pit of my tummy, then I know it's right." With her bold and colorful looks, the style trailblazer likes to have fun with her wardrobe. "Too many people take themselves too seriously and that's very bad."

Following the film, Susan Lacy, creator/longtime producer of PBS American Masters series, will host a panel discussion with D.A. Pennebaker, Chris Hegedus and Mirra Bank, all of whom worked with Maysles over the years.

The screening will begin at 2:30 p.m. and tickets are $15.

Bay Street is located at 1 Bay Street in Sag Harbor. For more information, call 631-237-8055 or visit www.ht2ff.com.
