Project MOST is hosting a series of Tuesday evening outdoor movies in August at the American Legion Hall in Amagansett. The screenings start with "Stand By Me" starring Jerry O'Connell, Corey Feldman, River Phoenix, and Wil Wheaton on Tuesday, August 5. "The Sandlot" starring Tom Guiry, Mike Vitar, Patrick Renna, and Chauncey Leopardi will follow on Tuesday, August 12. See the 2007 remake of "Hairspray" starring Nikki Blonsky, John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken, James Marsden, Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, and Brittany Snow on Tuesday, August 19. The screenings will finish with "Forrest Gump" starring Tom Hanks, Robin Wright, Gary Sinise, and Sally Field on Tuesday, August 26. Gates open at 7 p.m. and the screenings begin at 8 p.m.

All proceeds from the outdoor movies will benefit Project MOST, an after school enrichment program in East Hampton. The Hamptons organization hopes to raise awareness for the program during the film series, which is sponsored by the Kate Cassidy Foundation.

"Our goal with the movie series is to first raise awareness of this vital program for East Hampton's kids," said Susan Gentile Hackett, Director of Development at Project MOST. "Some of these kids would literally have no other options for after school care. Others need help with their academics so that they can succeed in school, and later in life."

Project MOST provides a daily comprehensive after school program for over 300 children in grades kindergarten to eighth grade, who attend the John M. Marshall Elementary School and Springs Elementary School. Students can take part in a range of activities, academic support, and enrichment programs like art, yoga, movement, karate, swim lessons, dance lessons and storytelling. Project MOST also supports local students by awarding more than $100,000 worth of scholarships every year.

Admission is $10 for adults, $30 for a carload, and free for kids under age 13. Make sure you bring a beach chair or blanket to sit on during the screening.

American Legion Hall is located at 15 Montauk Highway in Amagansett. For more information about Project MOST, visit www.projectmost.com.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
