The sixth annual Hamptons Take 2 Documentary Film Festival promises "all docs, all day," and it certainly delivers. While Friday and Sunday do have a great line-up of films, Saturday, December 7, is definitely the main event with ten films screening.

"Beautiful Tree, Severed Roots," by filmmaker and Sag Harbor resident Kenny Mann will begin the day of docs at 10 a.m. Emerging filmmakers will be on display during "Young Voices Program," which showcases six short films. Documentaries include "Living with Tourette Syndrome," "Ross Goes West," "Evolution," "Unknown Road," "Progress/Run," and "When Life Hands U Lemons," starting at 11:45 a.m. "Mr. Conservative: Goldwater on Goldwater," produced and narrated by Barry Goldwater's granddaughter CC Goldwater is next up at 1:15 p.m. Vivian Ducat's "All Me: The Life and Times of Winfred Rembert" will screen at 3:15 p.m., followed by "Treasures from the Rubble" at 5 p.m. The film was directed by Alexandra Branyon of Amagansett.

This year the HT2FF Gala is in tribute to the Sag Harbor filmmaking team of D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus. The reception begins at 7 p.m. with wine and hors d' oeuvres followed by opening remarks from Susan Lacy, the creator and longtime producer of the WNET/PBS American Masters series, at 7:45 p.m. A screening of the 1993 Pennebaker/Hegedus Academy Award-nominated documentary "The War Room" will be shown at 8 p.m. The film provides a behind-the-scenes look at the 1992 New Hampshire Democratic primary as well as the Bill Clinton campaign headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas. Following "The War Room," Lacy will lead a discussion with with Hegedus and Pennebaker.

You can see "all docs, all day" from Friday, December 6 through Sunday, December 8. Tickets for each HT2FF film segment are $15, and $13 for senior citizens, but not through online sales. Tickets to the Saturday night gala are $30, which includes entry to the reception as well as the film. A three day festival pass is $100, and includes gala entry.

Tickets can be purchased at the Bay Street Theatre box office (1 Bay Street, Sag Harbor), by phone at 631-725-9500, or online at www.baystreet.org. They can also be purchased from HT2FF at www.ht2ff.com.
