Westhampton Beach -
Jack Heller, a brilliant up and coming film director from Southampton kept audience members on the edge of their seats at the premiere of his film "Enter Nowhere." A mixture of drama, psychological thriller, and suspense with an unexpected twist, Heller loves filming in the Hamptons because of the light.
Shot entirely in the Hamptons, "Enter Nowhere" was co-written by
Shawn Christensen ("Abduction"), and produced by
Dallas Sonnier.
The thriller stars
Katherine Waterston ("Michael Clayton"), and
Sam Waterson's daughter,
Scott Eastwood ("Gran Torino"), and son of
Clint Eastwood,
Shaun Sipos (TV's "Life Unexpected"), and
Sara Paxton ("The Last House on the Left").
Three strangers arrive one by one at a cabin in the middle of the woods. Searching for a way out while fighting the elements and hunger, the trio realizes they have been brought together intentionally. Their connection to one another may be their only chance to get out of the woods alive.
A pre-release screening was held on February 8 at the Hampton Art Twins movie theater - a lovely old-fashioned theater where you can see top films for $4 admission on Tuesdays. Try to catch a film there at 2 Brook Road, Westhampton Beach - but check first to see if they are open.
Heller's next film project will be shot in the Hamptons in February/March using local vendors including The Catena family. Candy Kitchen and Fellingham's will also be locations in the film.
The film was an Official Selection at the 2011 ScreamFest Horror Film Festival. Engaging and suspenseful, "Enter Nowhere" comes to DVD and VOD on April 3 from LionsGate.
