East Hampton - The
Ellen Hermanson Foundation for Breast Cancer, (Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at
Southampton Hospital/Ellen's Run/Ellen's Well), will present the preview screening of "The Education of
Dee Dee Ricks," a retrospective of one woman's journey through the diagnosis, treatment and recovery from breast cancer.
This event, which is being presented, complimentary, to the public, is being hosted by
Guild Hall, on Saturday, October 22 at 6 p.m. The film will be followed by a Q&A with a panel comprised of
Dee Dee Ricks,
Harry Heller,
Meredith Israel Thomas and
Edyle O'Brien.
A Champagne Reception will be hosted by
Michael Kors at their shop on Newtown Lane in East Hampton, immediately following the event - 20 percent of the proceeds from sales at Michael Kors, East Hampton, (Saturday and Sunday, October 22 and October 23), to those who mention the charity event, will directly benefit the foundation.
This promises to be a powerful, enlightening and inspirational evening.
