Starting Monday, January 26th, and continuing through February, the Parrish Art Museum will offer two adults-only art classes taught by artist Linda Capello and architect Edgar Papazian. Capello is returning to the Parrish to offer her four-session Life Drawing class and Papazian is helping the Museum launch a new three-session Drawing the Museum class.

"Both classes emphasize drawing from observation," Cara Conklin-Wingfield, the Museum's Director of Education noted. "Drawing the Museum, a new offering, focuses on the built environment and incorporates free-hand drawing with principles of perspective. Life Drawing focuses on the human figure."

Capello, an expert in figure drawing and experienced East End art teacher, will help participants develop their skills in an open studio environment through the observation of male and female models. Throughout the series, students will experiment with various artistic techniques including gesture sketches and longer duration observations.

In Drawing the Museum, participants of every skill level will be given the opportunity to draw using perspective, vanishing points, foreshortening, volumetric transparency and other fundamentals. Students will explore the Museum galleries while also having a classroom experience and some one-on-one critiquing time with Papazian, a licensed and experienced architect and graduate of both Columbia and Yale Universities.

Parrish Art Museum is located at 279 Montauk Highway in Water Mill. For more information, call 631-283-2118 or visit www.parrishart.org.

Hampton Luxury Liner
Hampton Luxury Liner was started in 2000 as a more luxurious way to travel from NYC to the Hamptons and back. The clientele quickly grew and over the years Hampton Luxury liner became the preferred method of transportation to the Hamptons and NYC for many living in NYC and the Hamptons that wanted a comfortable and affordable way to travel back and forth. In 2009, HLL was taken over by Classic Coach and things with the liner didnít change to much for years and the owner there changed the buses to Prevost as opposed to Mercedes Setra Top Class Coaches that have always been a signature of the liner.
