The Water Mill Museum is holding their 28th Annual Quilt Show featuring quilts of all sizes, shapes, colors and styles. The show will start on Friday, August 15, and be on display through Sunday, September 14, 2014.
Over 200 handcrafted, beautiful quilts that include crazy quilts, traditional quilts, baby quilts, solids, prints, vintage and new ones will be on display. The show will include two floors of quilts on sale at very reasonable prices, with all funds raised supporting the Museum’s 1644 gristmill restoration.
Some people even believe these quilts are magical. A quilt buyer from last year explained, “I bought a 1930’s baby quilt in perfect condition. Three days later my son announced that a grandchild is on the way!”
Admission to the 28th Annual Quilt Show and Sale is free for children and $5 for adults, which includes a raffle and a chance to win a quilt. The winning raffle ticket will be drawn at the Bowls of Plenty event on Saturday, October 11, 2014.
The Water Mill Museum is located at 41 Old Mill Road in Water Mill. For more information, call 631-726-4625 or visit watermillmuseum.org.
