The polar vortex didn’t stop the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill from celebrating the arrival of its newest addition. Amidst chilly temps and snowy grounds, the long-anticipated signage was installed on the entrance gate. The easily visibly lettering is Avenir typeface, aluminum with black powder coat finish.
But the sign isn’t the only exciting news the Museum has to share. The New York State Department of Transportation recently sent a letter confirming that the directional guide signs on Route 27 (Montauk Highway) have been approved. The Parrish Art Museum credited Governor Andrew Cuomo’s “New York’s Path Through History” program for the approval. The “Path Through History” signage will create a statewide roadmap that ties historic and culturally significant locations and events throughout New York State.
