The Guild Hall 73rd Annual Artist Member Exhibition

East Hampton - Calling all artists! The 73rd Guild Hall Artist Members Exhibition is accepting entrants through April 22. All registration materials are available online at GuildHall.org. The show opens Saturday, May 7 and runs through Saturday, June 11.

This is the oldest non-juried museum exhibition on Long Island and one of the few non-juried exhibitions still offered. It is open to every artist member of Guild Hall and the top honor of distinction is a solo exhibition in Guild Hall's Spiga Gallery. Categories include Best Representational Painting, Best Abstract Painting, Best Sculpture, Best Work on Paper, Best Mixed Media, Best Photograph and numerous Honorable Mention citations, along with the $250 Catherine and Theo Hios Landscape Award and the Best New Member Artist presented to one artist who is new to the members exhibition or who has not entered in the past five years. This Awards Judge is Deborah Cullen, Ph.D., Director of Curatorial Programs at El Museo del Barrio, New York. The exhibition is organized by Michelle Klein, Guild Hall Curatorial Assistant, and the installation is supervised by Christina Mossaides Strassfield, Director/Chief Curator, Guild Hall Museum. Select works are available for sale.

"This is my favorite exhibition of the year. Every artist in our community has the opportunity to exhibit their art in a museum setting," said Strassfield. "Each year we showcase approximately 350 artist members."

For 73 years Guild Hall Museum has reserved space in its exhibition schedule for the Annual Guild Hall Artist Members Exhibition. Artists, representing every level of development, enter to underscore their support for the museum and its dynamic role in the community as a Museum, Theater and Educational Arts Center. The exhibition is sponsored by Bridgehampton National Bank.

All registration materials available at GuildHall.org. Postmark Deadline is April 22.
