Southampton - The
Parrish Art Museum announces a call for entries for its late summer exhibition Artists Choose Artists. The Museum's second juried exhibition to highlight the artists of the East End, Artists Choose Artists will open August 21 and remain on view through October 9, 2011.
Jurors for this year's exhibition are
Alice Aycock,
Ross Bleckner,
Dan Rizzie,
Matthew Satz,
Gary Simmons,
Agathe Snow, and
Frank Wimberley. These notable East End artists will review applicants' online submissions and make select studio visits. The exhibition is designed to promote new associations, offer visibility, and cultivate ongoing conversations between artists and the larger community.
All applicants must reside full or part-time on the East End of Long Island, as defined by the zip code prefix 119. The exhibition is open to works in all media, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, video, audio, and installation. Complete guidelines and applications are available at parrishart.slideroom.com. There is a $20 fee for each application.
