The Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) will hold its first annual "Snow Ball," an evening of cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, DJ and dancing to benefit the three year-old museum.
In response to a call for an indoor play space for children in the winter months, The Children's Museum of the East End has designed a new exhibit "Get Active!" The installation will include a geodome climbing structure, a netted ball area, basketball hoop, balancing pods, hula hoops, as well as facts about the life-long importance of exercise, wellness and staying fit, with nutrition tips and reminders.

The Children's Museum of the East End (CMEE) held the opening reception for their first Community Art Contest & Exhibition entitled "Hopes & Dreams" recently. The contest, which was open to all children aged three to 10 living on the East End, asked the participants to think about their hopes, dreams, and desires for 2009.

The Parrish Art Museum celebrated the opening of their newest exhibition, "East End Stories: Students Explore Our Creative Heritage" on Saturday, Dec. 13 to a packed house of student artists from across the East End and their parents, families, and friends. The day was the culmination of months of work for students and their art teachers who rose to meet the challenge of creating art that directly related to a piece from the museum's permanent collection.
