Riverhead - The public is invited to help select winners of the Downtown Riverhead Summer Photo Contest.

To vote, visit www.iloveriverhead.com starting Monday, Sept. 14 to view and select your favorite photo to win. Voting closes on Sunday, Oct. 4 with the winners to be announced at the annual Riverhead County Fair on Sunday, Oct. 11.

Photographers were asked to "show their love" for downtown Riverhead and capture summertime moments for the contest, which is a joint project of the Riverhead Business Improvement District, The East End Arts Council, the Riverhead Free Library, the Riverhead Chamber of Commerce, Riverhead Townscape, the Suffolk County Historical Society, the Town of Riverhead, Vail-Leavitt Hostoric Theater, and the Long Island Science Center.

Photographers took over 300 great photos this summer, and a panel of six judges has selected finalists. Voting will take place through Oct. 4. There are five categories. To go to the polls and vote, go to www.iloveriverhead.com/photo-contest.
