“Tiny Atlas Quarterly is about storytelling through images near and far and, after the success of our first show in San Francisco, we knew that we wanted to take the idea on the road,” explained Emily Nathan, Founder of Tiny Atlas Quarterly (TAQ).
On Saturday, September 12th, Tiny Atlas Quarterly (TAQ), a group of gifted creatives dedicated to capturing stories through images, art and interesting locations, will celebrate the launch of their newest digital issue at The Montauk Beach House. From 5 to 7 p.m., attendees will listen to beats by DJ Nicole Leone and sip on specialty cocktails, as they preview TAQ’s newest Fire Issue, which includes the winning photos from the #mytinyatlasmontauk contest.
“The Montauk Beach House is the perfect location to acknowledge our amazing east coast audience,” said Nathan. “We’re both passionate about inspiring our communities, whether it be through design, powerful imagery or showcases like #mytinyatlasmontauk. I want to thank everyone who submitted such stunning work–we hope to continue to inspire you all as well.”
Over 8,500 Instagram images were submitted by admirers of “The End” through the #mytinyatlasmontauk contest, and the featured Tiny Atlas Quarterly photos were carefully selected by judges Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Jen Bekman of 20×200, and Piera Gelardi and Brenda Milis of Refinery29, in conjunction with Tiny Atlas editors and printed by Social Print Studio.
“The Montauk Beach House is a creatively unique Montauk destination,” said Walt Lindveld, Creative Director at The Montauk Beach House. “Collaborating with TAQ enriches that uniqueness by both showcasing and supporting two of our communities’ greatest passions– travel and visual artistry.”
Admission to the party is free.
The Montauk Beach House is located at 55 South Elmwood Avenue in Montauk. For more information, call 631-668-2112 or visit thembh.com.
